How it works
- 1 Choose a word set, or type your own words.
- 2 Set the number of cards and the size: 3×3 for little kids, 5×5 for everyone else.
- 3 Print. Two cards per page works well; choose “Save as PDF” to send them out instead.
- 4 Switch to “Call the game” and read out each word. First to get a full line shouts “Bingo!”
How to play Christmas bingo
- → Everyone gets one card and something to mark it with: a pen, stickers, chocolate coins or candy.
- → The host calls words in a random order. Players mark the word if it’s on their card.
- → The first player with five in a row (across, down or diagonal) wins. For a longer game, play for the whole card.
- → Check the winner’s card against the “Called so far” list before handing out the prize.
Christmas movie bingo
Put on a holiday film and mark the clichés as they happen: the hometown return, the snowed-in cabin, the mysterious man who is definitely Santa. Most squares turn up in nearly any made-for-TV Christmas movie, so nobody needs to call anything. First to finish a line picks the next film.
Bingo for the office party
Hand out office party cards when people arrive and let them mark what they spot during the evening. It gets people talking to colleagues they don’t usually sit with, and nobody has to stand up and perform. Keep the prize small and silly.
Questions
Are these Christmas bingo cards free to print? +
Yes. Make as many as you like, print them at home or save them as a PDF. No sign-up and no watermark beyond a small web address in the corner.
How many words do I need for my own cards? +
A 5×5 card with a free space needs at least 24 words, a 4×4 card 16 and a 3×3 card 8 (with a free space). More words than that make every card more different.
Can I play without printing? +
Yes. Players can draw a grid on paper and fill it with words from the list, while the host calls from this page on a phone or laptop.
What are good Christmas bingo prizes? +
Chocolate, a candy cane, first pick in the gift exchange, or the right to choose the next Christmas movie.
