How to play
1Set the secret word
One player secretly types in a word for the other to guess.
2Guess the word
The guesser has 6 tries. Green is the right letter in the right spot, yellow is in the word but somewhere else, gray is not in the word.
3Win or lose
Guess it within 6 tries and you win. Run out of tries and the word-setter wins.
Tips
- → Open with a word full of common letters and vowels to get as much feedback as possible.
- → When setting a word, letters that repeat or are less common make it much harder to crack.
- → Don’t reuse letters you already know are grey. Every guess should test something new.

Is Word Duel like Wordle? +
It uses the familiar five-letter, six-guess format with green and yellow tiles. The twist is that your opponent picks the secret word. Word Duel is its own game in the Duoo app and is not affiliated with Wordle.
How do you play a Wordle-style game with two people? +
One player sets a secret five-letter word, the other guesses with color feedback. Then you swap. Whoever needs fewer guesses wins the round.
Do you need two phones for Word Duel? +
No. You play on one phone. Just look away while the other player sets their word.
