40 Thanksgiving Family Feud Questions and Answers

How to play Thanksgiving Family Feud

  1. Split into two teams and pick a host who sees the answers.
  2. One player from each team faces off. The host reads the question.
  3. The first to give an answer that’s on the board wins the face-off for their team.
  4. That team guesses the rest, one player at a time. Three wrong answers and they’re out.
  5. The other team then gets one guess to steal the round’s points.

Write the answers on sticky notes and cover them on a wall, or just read them out as they’re guessed. A serving spoon on a pot lid makes a fine buzzer.

The answers below are ranked by our own guess at what most people would say. Points are out of 100.

Tips for hosting

  • Double or triple the points in the final round so the losing team still has a chance.
  • Let the host overrule close answers. “Stuffing” and “dressing” can count as the same thing.
  • Keep a printed copy for the host and read answers aloud, rather than showing them on a screen everyone can see.
  • Mix one silly question into every round for the quiet ones.
  • Skip the touchy ones in mixed company. The adult round is meant for friends who know each other.

Questions

How do you play Thanksgiving Family Feud at home? +

Split into two teams. Read a question; one player from each team answers, and the team with the higher-ranked answer chooses to play or pass. That team guesses the remaining answers until they get three wrong, then the other team gets one guess to steal all the points.

Where do the answers come from? +

These are our own ranked answers, written to match what most groups say. They are not from a real survey. If your table disagrees with the order, that's half the fun: let the host decide.

How many points is each answer worth? +

Each answer has points out of 100 next to it, like the TV show. Add them up for the team that wins the round. Double the points for the last round to keep the game close.

Is this the official Family Feud? +

No. This is an unofficial, Family Feud-style game for home use. It is not affiliated with the TV show.
